Year-end Book Report Essay Contest

2018 North Carolina Chinese Bible Church Book Report Essay Contest

Participant Requirements: All ages and backgrounds are welcome to attend
Call for Papers:

  1. Reading books must be borrowed from the church library, or books in the library catalog (seelibrary bibliography)
  2. The number of words solicited shall not be less than 500 words and shall not exceed 1500 words.
  3. All essays must be in word or pdf format and sent to Brother Xiang Shunan (sxiang@yahoo.com) before January 1, 2019.
  4. All calls for papers need to be inemailSpecify the following information,Please do not indicate in the file:
    1. author name
    2. The author's contact number and email (if different from the sending email)
    3. Book title + library catalog number
  5. Because the review process will be anonymous, please do not indicate the author's information in all files
  6. Call for Papers Layout:
    1. Please use "center alignment" for the title, bold
    2. For other content, please use "left alignment"

  7. The church reserves the right to disqualify contestants who do not meet the above requirements.
  8. The Church has the right to publish or use all the entries submitted as public publications, and the name of the author will be indicated when using them. If you need to be anonymous, please inform us in advance.

Review introduction:

  1. Brother Zhou Yuzhong: A Christian for many years, devoted himself to Bible studies, and participated in the teaching of adult Sunday schools, and was active in the ministry of church hospitality and counting offerings.
  2. Elder Chen Xinchun: Senior adult Sunday school teacher, one of the founding elders of the church, active in the church's discipleship training, care, worship and education ministry.
  3. Professor Pan Baitao: He was a professor of biology at Wheaton College. He has written more than 60 articles on Christian belief and science, and often gives lectures on special topics.

Review process:

  1. All papers should be collected before January 1st, and sent to three reviewers after being numbered anonymously.
  2. Depending on the number of submissions, all reviews should be completed within 2-3 weeks.
  3. All judges will select up to 5 articles and rank them sequentially, each with 5 to 1 points.
  4. The top three articles with the most points are the top three, and the others are all excellent works.
  5. The top three winners will receive awards prepared by the church's education department, and the awards will be presented on Sunday.
